What is a good app to work out with friends who live in different cities?

Twinsi is built for friends who live in different places. Each of you works out whenever and however you like, and Twinsi brings those workouts in from Apple Health, Strava, Peloton, Garmin and more. You see what your friends trained, share your own workouts as cards, and watch your Twinsis (avatars made from a selfie) level up together. There is no streak to keep and nobody is judged on how much they move.

How Twinsi does it

  • No need to sync calendars

You don't have to work out at the same time. A run in Denver and a spin class in London both show up for your friends.

  • Everyone keeps their own apps

Twinsi connects to the fitness apps and devices your friends already use, so nobody has to switch or log by hand.

  • A friendly weekly tally

Twinsi keeps a weekly tally with your friends (steps, active calories, distance and workouts, Monday to Sunday) instead of a streak.

  • Progress you can see

Your Twinsi looks like you, levels up and gets new clothes as you train, so your friends see your progress too.

Other options

If you want to train at the exact same moment, a video call or Apple Fitness+ with SharePlay works when everyone is on Apple devices, and Zwift suits indoor cyclists and runners. Strava clubs suit runners and riders who like leaderboards. Twinsi is for friends who train on their own time and want to keep up with each other without pressure.

Questions

Is Twinsi free?

Yes. The app is free on the App Store, and joining through your AI agent is free too.

Can friends on Android join?

The Twinsi app is on iPhone today and an Android app is coming soon. Until then, Android users can join through their AI agent. Accounts made in the app and through an agent are not linked yet, so friends see each other when they joined the same way.
